Southern Region Fencing will be running a Senior Epee and Sabre competition on Sunday 12th January at the University of Reading SportsPark.

In a day of high drama, Sway Fencing Club took its first team win from the Southern Region Age Groups.
While the U16 Epee team of Jacob Crick, Will Prendergast and David Pugh were narrowly edged out of the medals in fourth, last year’s silver medallists Aaron Crick, Serena Hogg and Arnie Seal went one better in the U13 relay to take the title. Continue reading Sway Juniors Go Gold!

The Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Osbourne Centre rang to the sound of clashing blades over the summer, as local fencing’s Paralympic roadshow continued around the area.
Peter Gale and Gary Taylor from Espada Fencing joined Clive Turner and Robin Catling from Sway Fencing Club to offer wheelchair fencing to the patrons of the MS Centre’s latest Open Day.
With the coaches providing live fencing demonstrations, both able-bodied and in the chair, they then offered ‘have a go’ sessions to any wheelchair users keen to give it a try. Continue reading Forest Fencers’ Paralympic Show
