New Milton Pageant of Sport Sat 21st JulyFor our appearance at the New Milton Pageant of Sport this Sat 21st July, the event programme is as follows:

A number of local sports clubs and organisations have come together with New Milton Town Council and will stage The Pageant of Sport 2012 on Saturday 21st July 2012.  This event is also being supported by The Lions Club of New Milton, The Rotary Club of New Milton, The Town Partnership and the Residents’ Association.

The Event which will be held on the War Memorial Recreation Ground is designed to celebrate the award of The Olympic Games to Great Britain. The Games themselves will start on the following weekend.

  • A central arena with demonstrations of a number of sports, for example Tag Rugby.
  • A smaller under-cover arena with other demonstrations.
  • Participation in the Sporting activities by Visitors.
  • Local Sports Clubs will stage competitive sessions.
  • Stalls around the Recreation Ground for you to promote your Organisation & Sport.
  • Refreshments Area and a Bar

The event runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm

We have been allocated pitch no. 10.

We are supposed to have a space for taster sessions on site, I am awaiting final allocation.

1:15 pm – 2:00 pm Sway Fencing Club

Running in parallel and in conjunction with The Pageant of Sport 2012, the Town Partnership will be holding the Summer Fair in its New Milton Crafts 2012 Series at The New Milton Memorial Centre.  Because of this, access to the sites and parking is strictly limited and will be closely controlled.

Access to the sites will be by Vehicle Pass only and this must be displayed on any vehicle arriving at either Event.

Long Term Parking is available very close to The Recreation Ground – Crossmeads Public Car Park and signs will clearly indicate the route to that Car Park.  It is then only a few short minutes walk to The Recreation Ground.

One Vehicle Pass has been supplied to us.  Because of the number or vehicles involved in the setup and the event itself, parking can only be provided on the Recreation Ground for one vehicle per Stallholder.

Access to the Recreation Ground will not be available until 7:00 am and the access point will close promptly at 9:45 am.  All setup must be completed by 10:15 am and vehicles parked in the allocated spaces.

Movement of Vehicles after 10:15 am may only be undertaken with express permission being obtained from the Chief Marshall.
